Several hopes of time are not the real reason we were born

Allowing for change is a dossier of bigger involvement in time.  I would not think that we can repeat our course in history without looking back and wondering if we could have made other choices along the way, but does the finality of our hope justify our own black record of living at some time in our humanity?  Who are the mages who did not alter their course in the heavens?  Are they predicted or did they evolve?  And are we a product of our own achievement or is our achievement a product of who we are.
